Structure and Function Analysis of Flexible Tooling Fixture

Aiming at the size of the hood simulation block in the main vehicle model inspection tool, a preliminary tooling system model as shown in Figure 2 is made. This model is not a layout diagram of the flexible tooling system, but only reflects the structural features that the flexible tooling system should include, including: base structure, sliding structure, supporting structure and clamping structure. Among them, the sliding structure is driven by a hydraulic control system, including related hydraulic control mechanisms. The clamping structure is sucked and clamped by a vacuum suction method, and includes a vacuum power source such as a vacuum pump.   Base structure: Set the positioning datum according to the positioning criteria to ensure the positioning accuracy of the workpiece and connect the carriers of each structure at the same time.  Sliding structure: including all the flexible positioning guide rails, sliding blocks, telescopic mechanism on the clamp and the hydraulic mechanism for driving in the system, to realize the flexible positioning of the clamp in the three directions of X, Y, and Z.  Support structure: The supporting structure in the system consists of the telescopic mechanism of the clamp and the top bead on the clamp head. The top bead forms a point contact with the curved surface of the workpiece. Generally, only the contact deformation at the positioning element causes the position of the workpiece to shift, and the contact deformation at the clamping element has no direct effect on the shift of the workpiece. The contact here belongs to the contact at the clamping element, and the deformation caused by the contact is not considered.
