There are many kinds of machining, which refers to the process of using mechanical equipment to change the shape or performance of the workpiece

Turning: Turning is the process of removing metal from a workpiece. When the workpiece rotates, the tool cuts into the workpiece or rotates along the workpiece;

Milling (face milling, horizontal milling): Milling is the use of rotary tools for metal cutting, mainly used for processing grooves and linear surfaces, and can also be used for two-axis or three-axis arc surfaces;

Boring: Boring is the process of reaming or further processing the drilled or cast parts on the workpiece. It is mainly used to process holes with larger shapes, larger diameters and higher precision.

Planing: The main feature of planing is to machine straight surfaces. Generally speaking, the surface roughness is not as high as that of a milling machine.

Slotting: Cutting is actually a vertical planer, the tool swings up and down, which is very suitable for incomplete arc processing, mainly used for cutting certain types of gears;

Grinding (surface grinding, cylindrical grinding, inner hole grinding, tool grinding, etc.): Grinding is a method of removing metal with a grinding wheel. The finished product has accurate dimensions and smooth surface. It is mainly used for finishing the workpiece after heat treatment to make its size accurate.

Drilling: Use a rotating drill to drill a solid metal workpiece; during the drilling process, the workpiece is fixed and clamped, and the drill moves along the axis in addition to rotating.
